Hallowe'en 2023
PEACE PROMS 2024
Children from Primary 7B are very excited about participating in the Peace Proms 2024 which is to be held in the SSE Arena in Belfast on 25th February 2024. We attended a choir workshop on 8th November with other schools that will be singing with us at the event. The workshop was lead by Greg Beardsell and everybody had a fantastic morning singing their hearts out!
MINDFULNESS
Our class has really enjoyed our four mindfulness sessions with Nicola from Tullymore. We had fun during every session and learned coping mechanisms when we feel under pressure. Mindfulness helps us enjoy life more and understand ourselves better. Nicola taught us that by paying more attention to the present moment – to our own thoughts and feelings, and to the world around us – can improve our mental wellbeing.

The Junior Entrepreneur Programme
The Junior Entrepreneur Programme is a real-life, immersive entrepreneurship skills programme for primary school children; it nurtures confidence, resilience, creativity, problem-solving and teamwork and engages pupils of all abilities. JEP is a substantial, in-depth programme - it has a lasting impact on pupils, teachers and the wider school community; it puts a spotlight on entrepreneurship as a career option and develops invaluable life skills.
Here is a collection of photographs of the children brainstorming ideas, drawing up a business plan and pitching their plan to their peers.
Our student teacher, Ms. Ní Raghallaigh, gave the class a very enjoyable lesson in Irish. Every child took part and Ms. Ní Raghallaigh told them how impressed she was at how quickly they were able to answer various questions and tell her and their peers about themselves as Gaeilge. Well done everybody!
