Communication & Language
Developing a love of stories and books is important for language development. We love exploring the library corner during play or hearing stories from Mrs McAlea.
Writing, including scribbling and mark-making, is a way to express and exchange thoughts or ideas. We love to colour, draw, paint, use chalk and magentic writing tablets.
Role Play and Small World areas provide great opportunities for the development of language learning and good communication skills. Through talking and listening with adults and their peers, children learn the value of interaction and improve their ability to communicate their needs, thoughts, feelings and ideas.
