On behalf of all the staff I would like to thank you for visiting our website and to welcome you to our school. This site is intended to help you discover more about the life of Holy Child Primary School, Belfast.
Our school was founded over 60 years ago and has been at the core of the parish of St Agnes since then. It has a well-deserved reputation as a place of learning which secures the best educational outcomes for all our pupils within a supportive and caring environment.
As a school we focus on ensuring that all our pupils are happy, safe and secure. This provides the bedrock for each child to progress academically within the context of a faith-based environment. Our school moto is 'Sharing, Caring and Learning.' Through 'Sharing' we help our pupils develop as individuals, with a focus on their spiritual wellbeing; fostering respect for others and for themselves. We have strong links with local secondary and grammar schools, work in collaboration with our parish as a Catholic school and ensure our pupils are instilled with a respect for the local community and the wider world.
Through 'Caring' we work to support the child's spiritual, moral, social and physical needs. We have a happy and secure school where our children feel valued and special.
Finally through 'Learning' we promote high standards through effective teaching and learning. Our dedicated staff has created an environment in which each child will enjoy the full range of learning opportunities in order to grow in confidence and independence. The high quality provision provided at Holy Child ensures our pupils are well equiped to thrive throughout their time in primary school and beyond.
We firmly believe that strong relationships and routines support the holistic development of our pupils and accordingly, we place great emphasis on developing and maintaining these throughout the school.
We aim to assist each child in securing the highest standards of attainment and engagement in all aspects of their lives. The relationship between pupils, staff and parents is central to this positive and child centred ethos and makes us the school that we are. We hope this website gives you a glimpse into life at Holy Child.
My staff and I are happy to discuss any aspect of your child's development. Please phone our office to make an appointment. May I also extend and invitation to prospective parents and pupils to visit our school, as no website can convey the happy and stimulating educational environment provided by Holy Child.
