Polar Lands
The children explored the Arctic and Antarctica. They had great fun learning about the animals and people who live in the Polar Lands.
During our topic the children participated in various experiments. The children were given the opportunity to make predictions, carry out experiments and record their experiments just like real scientists. We used hot water to investigate how penguins keep warm and which material would be the warmest and should be worn by Polar explorers like Captain Scott.
