At Holy Child Primary School, we value the voice of our parents, pupils and wider community. Throughout the year, we have
listened carefully to feedback and worked hard to respond positively.
This message outlines some of the key areas where you shared your views and how we have responded.
You said:
- You wanted clearer, more efficient communication from school
- You wanted easier ways to make payments and stay informed
- You wanted a centralisation of our policies and information
We delivered:
- Introduced ParentPay, allowing parents to make school payments digitally in a secure and convenient way
- Refreshed our use of Seesaw, improving how we communicate and share updates on learning and school life
- Launched a new school website (www.holychildps.com), providing up-to-date information, news and key resources for parents
- Continued to share regular updates celebrating pupils’ achievements and school events
- Created a dedicated section on the school website containing relevant policies
2. A Broader Range of After-School Opportunities
You said:
- You wanted more opportunities for children beyond the school day
- You wanted a wider variety of clubs and activities
We delivered:
- Expanded our after-school provision, offering a wide range of clubs to suit different interests
- Extended our provision to support families with school hours now available until 6pm
- Provided opportunities for pupils to engage in sports, creative activities and enrichment programmes after school

- You wanted additional childcare support and holiday provision
We delivered:
- Developed a range of Summer Scheme options hosted at Holy Child, providing safe, engaging and enjoyable experiences for pupils
- Worked with partners to ensure a variety of activities and programmes were available for families during the summer period

- You wanted continued improvement to school facilities and resources
- You valued investment in outdoor play and learning
We delivered:
- Introduced new Izak 9 Maths cubes to support engaging, practical numeracy learning across the school
- Updated outdoor play equipment for Nursery and Primary 1, enhancing early years play experiences
- Installed a new outdoor play storage hut, improving access to resources and organisation of play equipment
- Continued to invest in improving the school environment and learning resources for all pupils
- Expanded our MLD provision to allow increased opportunities to support our children

- You wanted strong links between school and families
- You valued opportunities to support and contribute to school development
We delivered:
- Strengthened our partnership with the PTA (Holy Child Community Connect)
- Successfully raised £17,991.65, which will be used to further develop and enhance the school yard
- Continued to involve parents in school events, initiatives and fundraising activities
- Linking with parents and the wider community to support after school and sporting opportunities
- Built stronger community links to support ongoing school improvement

We delivered:
- Introduced and expanded Wellbeing and Mental Health initiatives across all year groups
- Delivered workshops through HIP Psychology on emotions and resilience
- Provided structured opportunities for pupils to develop confidence, manage feelings and build positive relationships

We delivered:
- Continued to provide creative, cross-curricular learning opportunities
- Increased outdoor learning experiences and practical activities
- Integrated digital learning and hands-on approaches to enhance engagement
- Professional development for our staff to support and enrich your child’s learning
8. More Opportunities for Enrichment and Experiences

- Organised a wide range of school trips, workshops and performances
- Provided opportunities for pupils to experience music, sport, creative arts and outdoor learning
- Ensured pupils had memorable and enjoyable experiences throughout the year

We delivered:
- Achieved significant success in competitive sport
- Provided opportunities to participate in tournaments, Sports Days and physical activities for all pupils

We delivered:
- Maintained and clarified our strong ethos of “Caring, Sharing and Learning”
- Promoted a culture of respect, kindness and inclusion
- Ensured all pupils feel valued, supported and included in school life
We remain committed to listening to our school community and continuing to improve. Following this year’s questionnaires of parents, pupils, staff and governors we will continue to focus on delivering for our families.
Next year, we will continue to:
- Strengthen our focus on Oracy and communication skills
- Build on strong teaching and learning practices through valuing creativity and playful learning
- Continue to enhance wellbeing provision and safeguarding for all pupils
- Further develop school facilities and outdoor learning spaces
