Our Eco-Councillors recently met to discuss transport to and from school. A generation ago 70% of children walked to school, now it’s less than half! With the improving weather, our Eco-Councillors were hoping to promote a Walk/Cycle/Scoot to School Week in May to help reduce emissions and congestion around the school. The children will firstly carry out an audit to calculate how many children walk, cycle, drive, taxi, bus, etc… to school.
