A huge thank you to Anto and Keane from Bee Active for organising such an exciting and engaging football league for the boys and girls at Wednesday Soccer Club!
The children loved representing different Premier League teams, with Keane updating the league table each week—building great anticipation, enthusiasm, and a real sense of competition and fun across the school.
Taking part in the league has supported the pupils in so many ways:
Social skills – teamwork, communication, respect for others, and learning how to win and lose graciously.
Personal development – building confidence, resilience, motivation, and a positive attitude towards participation and effort.
Academic skills – developing numeracy through tracking points, goal differences, and positions in the league table, as well as enhancing understanding of data and problem-solving.
Special congratulations go to Manchester United who won the league and to the overall Player of the Tournament, who got to keep a replica of the ballon d’or!
Well done to all involved for making it such a positive and memorable experience for our pupils! Soccer club will return next term on Wednesdays.
